Diachi Bleeders. Nasty little buggers. }>

I like Octopus type hooks for leeches and minnows. I highly recommend using baitholder Tru Turn hooks for crawler harnesses. They allow you to set the hook much faster, avoiding gut hooked fish. The longer shank really helps in the presentation as well. In the last 2 years I am certain I have boated more than 500 walleyes in my boat and not one gut hooked fish using the Tru Turn's.

Most of my spinners are used on Saginaw Bay, I use a #2 Octopus Gamagatsu or Diechii on the front, and a # 6 or 8 cone cut treble on the back

I would definitely go with the gamakatsu's. Another good hook is VMC. You can order hooks with leaders from Hagen's and put whatever spinners you want on them.

Circle hooks for the minnow or leach and the bleeder for crawler harness'.
Reelbait sells the red on a leader ready to be made into anything.

I like #6 for small leeches #4 for jumbos and minnows and # 2's or even bigger for big minnows/chubs. Gamakatsu all the way. Will be trying circle hooks on some dead sticks, use next size bigger when using circle hooks.

People acually like circle hooks? I used those 2 years ago and hated them. Could not hook nearly as many fish as with a regular hook or a wide gap hook. Yes, when I got a bite I put solid presure on it and started reeling, did not snap it back.
The wide gap hooks I was using seemed to really help with hooking in the lip.

I've been using cicle hooks for 2-3 years. Love em. I think they work best when you use them on rods with real light tips and the rod in a rod holder. Don't start reeling them till they pull back. I don't think I have ever lost a walleye on a circle hook.

I've used owner hooks this past year on all my spinner rigs, and I've had great sucess with them. Very stong points and very sharp. I'll be using them again next year.
