I have a cannon downrigger that won't come up by itself. My other one raises by itself and stops when the ball reaches the top. I have replaced the toggle switch but this didn't help. Any ideas?

Maybe there is a loose lead, connection, or bad fuse?

It's a mag ten rigger. I have never figured out how they get it to stop when it gets to the surface!

Did you replace the swivel that the ball hangs on recently? there is an insulated spacer that is supposed to go between the swivel and the wire. That is my best suggestion.
