I just bought a boat and want to set it up to troll. I fish the western basin in ohio. Should I use dipsy's,planner boards,or stick baits? I just got six line counters and how should I postion my rod holders? Any tps would be great. Thanks:)

you'll get lots of responses with good info, you'll end up wanting boards,dipsies,stick baits,spoons etc. but i believe as far as rod placement, it really depends on what boat and model as to where you would want to place them. if you can go out fishing with a couple folks who are set up and rigged, you will really shorten your learning curve on how/where/when. come down to erie metro park on may 3rd where there is a gathering/fish fry/bragging rights get-together..you can look at alot of rigged boats and ask questions specific to a boat that would be close to your model and get alot of great ideas.
