Thinking of selling my x-85 and moving up to the X 97
Just wondering if they are having any software problems with these new units....Lowrance has served me well for over 20 years but i am open to suggestions on similar priced units.....that have proven themselves

I have only been out a couple of times with my x97. I have a 19.5' tiller with it mounted in the rear and moved my x85 to the front running on a new Minkota AP with the built in puck. One of the first things I did was try runing them both at the same time and they had no problems is shallow ( 2' ) or deep ( 75' ). I then watched both screens while letting the auto pilot run at a nice pace so I could compair detail and the x97 was showing alot more - how many fish did I pass by last year?. So far so good and it was fun to watch the front of the boat show the depth and you could then see it in the back so you got a great idea of what's under the boat.
I thought the x85 was a great unit but this x97 is even better!

Do you know if the the x-51, 85, & 97 use the same transducer? I'm thinking about upgrading from the x-51 and hoping I don't have to change out everything.

The plug end is different on the X-85 than the new stuff.

For high speed transducers, the X-51 and X-97 both utilize the HS-WSX or HST-WSX. The X-85 uses a HS-WSBK.

The 3000 watts show those botton hugging fish. I love the the unit, I have fished with it all this year and not 1 problem. John Mannerino
