Does anyone know where you can buy bottom bouncer wire forms (preferably with the snap swivel already on) ?
A friend wants to start molding his own, but thinks Do-It is a little high. I really don't know if they are in line or not, just checking to see what his other options might be.
Thanks in advance,

I made a jig from a piece of 1\4" aluminum stock. Then I drilled 2 holes in it for 2 roll pins spaced slightly farther apart than the thickness of the wire. Clampit in a vice to hold it, a little creativity and you can make perfectly bent wires from it.
For the snap swivel end after bending it I put the swivel on and a small crimp sleeve to finish it off.
I can send you a few pics of it if you cant picture what I am talking about.
Hmmm... another idea for a web page for my site.

PJ,
I suggested this to him (Wheels told me the same thing), but he only wants to work a little, not a little more. ;)
Want to sell one? LOL
Thanks,

Man oh man.
He might as well just buy the bouncers already made from the store and sell his mold then if hes that lazy.

Even if he buys them from Do It, he figures .28 a piece (gets the lead from old plumbing and wheel balancing (free for the hauling)).
It is still worth it to him to not have the extra time in the wire bending.
Let me know about my other proposition.
Thanks,

Jans Netcraft. Had two sizes of wires. .035 for small weights to 2.0z and .041 for weights up to 3 oz.

Brian, I am not sure if you caught my post to you on your article on Conchas in Western Walleye Mag. Great info....

I believe that Staminainc.com also carries preformed wires.

You can get wire forms from www.barlowstackle.com or staminac.com
I have gotten inline spinner wire forms about six or seven inches long and molded them with do-it mold. Works fine. No bend you just
have to be creative. Use a dropper line or rig some other way, all comes out with the same results. The do-it mold will more than pay for it self in a short time. Good fishing, God bless.

Wheel weights have alot of junk in them and can mess up your mold. Should use good clean lead. Also you can buy the wire forms from most leading suppliers ie.. Stamina, Cabelas etc... If you don't want to buy wire forms, use thin coat hangers. You may have to Dremell your mold a little to fit the wire. It works and doesn't cost. You can make it any length then.
