I've read this article ( LIVE TO FISH, pg. 65) about Berkley spending $2 millions on lab resarch to develpoe this crank. They say they did researchs and were able to find proper noise color and movement which they incorporated in this new crank, they claim it makes a big difference. Did anyone use them and are they any different or better. I'm thinking of getting some but I don't want to add them the the hundreds I have already whom I don't use, because they're realy not any better. I want to hear from those who actually used them, good or bad. Greatly appreciated!!

TY!

I use the lipless rat l trap style and do very well. I can pick them up for $1.99, compared to $2.99 for the Bill Lewis. I havn't used the deeper divers.

Where is the live to fish article?

I have some good success with Frenzy baits, but I wonder what is different about the '03 other than wanting to sell more?

I run the FDMs and they are straight.

Thanks,

I have some of the prototypes. They look somewhat similar to a Thunderstick Deep Jr. in size and body shape with a little more belly. In the water they have a wobble I would describe as being between a Thunderstick Jr. and a Bomber 24A. I have not fished with them enough to give them a fair shake. I thought they did look nice in the water though and should turn out to be a good walleye lure. Jim Carroll NPAA #588

If they need a little "southern" testing you know where to send a few :)

OK, I'll only post this one time...get the Frenzy deep diving minnows, (the long, skinny ones) chrome/blue and chrome/black. Troll them. Thank me later.

Supposedly, they took photoes of the real bait fish and then used computer technology to transfer those images on the crank, making it look exactly like the real thing in water. I did look at them and the colors seam to bright and sharp to me compared to live bait, but maybe they will look diferent in water. All in all, they say they spent $ 2,000,000.00 to film and listen to all this sifferent baitfish, then they reproduced the all this info into the crank which is supposed to look, sound and move just like the real thing in water.

Good luck!!
