I was wondering if anyone knew what worked on pool 4 this weekend at the tournaments. I fished (not in the tourneys) and had it tough, but apparently a few groups got on nice fish. Was it the "handliners" that scored big? -lb

We fished the LPO and focused on the main river, WRONG!! Most of the big fish came from the backwaters. The Goose Lake area, 4th cut, and some other areas produced some fish. The main river between the lock/dam down to the high bridge was really(very) spotty. Some fish were taken down by Youngs Cottage, but there was no pattern to where the fish were holding. Seems the current breaks had some fish, but we fished almost everything and came up short. We marked fish for 3 days, yet couldn't draw a bite. As one of the resident guides said, "The last 3 days were the toughest bite I have seen in 10 years." Believe me, we worked our tails off, and came up very short.
