View Full Version : Saving data and waypoints to a XP HP computer question?
I can save the data to a MMC or copy it to the other MMC in the X15 unit, but I have not been able to save it from the MMC to the XP puter as a file or to Map Create 5 though the MMC interface. When I have tried to paste the data file XP says it can't read it, does anyone have any suggestions, I have beat on the walls for a week with no luck!

Also I have no problem unloading Mapcreate 5 maps and created waypoints though the MMC interface to the x15 unit, everything works fine until I try to put the collected data back on the HP from the MMC interface.

I had the same problem the first time I tried. What I found out is I had different settings on my x-15 and my computer. Once I made sure that they were the same it was easy to transfer the info. What I mean by same settings is I had degrees,minutes,seconds on one and degrees and minutes only on the other. Just make sure that what ever format you use on your computer you use on your finder. I have Mapcreate 6 but I believe it would be the same for 5.

Yes everything works fine and I have my waypoints saved on the HD and have called up them by mc5 for editing on the computer. I did have to make the two formats the same along with dragging the data.usr file off the MMC rather than copy and paste to convert it to a data.low file for use with my mc5 map. Thanks again!
