I use Eagle Claw for our kits primarily because of the brand name recognition but would like to hear which treble are most popular and relatively low cost .
Thanks,
Seb

Not the cheapest, but certain one of the best: Excalibur Rotating Trebles. I have replaced all my cranks rear hooks with them.

VMC makes a good sharp treble for a less price than the Triple Grips. I think they are Vanadium 7541BN.

I was replacing hooks with Excaliber's. Now I use the reverse barbed Hooks from VMC. I get mine through ReefRunner. You can contact them and ask for their sales contact at VMC. Since you are talking about a massive quantity, you can probably get a vastly better price than I get from ReefRunner.
Reefrunner doesnt use the vmc any longer, they switched to eagle claw. good luck and good fishin.

Why did they change? Those were the stickiest hooks I've ever found! They're going to ruin a good thing. (Did Rapala buy them out or what?)

In my opinion triple grip hooks are the best hooks out there. They work especially well with fireline and other no stretch lines.

VMC was bought up by the competition. I talked with someone at Reefrunner that says the special order Eagle Claws they now use are even sharper! They were supposed to get back to me about buying from them but never heard back :-(

Yes Supertroller. Rapala bought out VMC. They brought out Storm soft plastic baits this year and have Rapala vmv hooks in the package with them.

i know they are not the best, but the lazer sharp eagle claws are relatively cheap and are much sharper than the conventional hooks ...i tear up many hooks on salmon and the lazersharp are cheap per cabelas and i hardly have to touch them up before they dig into my fingernails so i am content with this brand..steve

My vote goes to Gamagatsu, I've put them on some of my salmon spoons and found them better than the excaliber. Only had one spoon with the trebles with the barbs on the outside but found the trout would knock off the riggers with it. More hookups with the gama's. Good fishing.

Best hooks EVER...triple grip. call it skill,LUCK,whatever but i have NEVER lost a fish on these hooks and have boated over 75 fish with them. I live on bandit crankbait with this hooks i have have yet to lose a fish with one. i justed jinxed myself for life now but just had to tell you. I will never buy any other hook. The fish just cant throw them. Ive caught 10 lb bass 9 lb walleyes 20 lb northerns and every size inbetween. they just work

I'll vote for the Gamakatsu's - just bought some more today. I would however also mention that the damage inflected on my hands this year with Reefrunners was quite impressive. Runner-up are the rotating trebles on the Fat Free Shads.

I agree that the triple grips are excellent for holding and not losing fish, and the Excalibers are super sticky sharp, but as to the original question as to the best hooks for the price, I would go along with the Eagle Claw lazer sharp hooks. They might not be quite as good as the others, but they are also significantly less expensive also and have caught very many fish for me.

But is price an issue when you hook into that once in a lifetime fish??? Triple grip all the way. Hooks that are extremely sharp are great for slitting your wrist when you lose that 10lb bast at the boat. Don't have that pain, get sharp hooks that hold fish on TRIPLE GRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
