What are some ideas on what to do with these things in the boat? Have a rubber band around mine in the bottom of the rod locker. There must be a better way.

Jigeye.
Believe it or not, I loop/thread them inside of themselves. That is, I bend the wire below the weight to go through both the guide/harness wire at the top and the snap swivel. Then put a small rubber band on them to hold this oval shaped spring and sinker. Bending them back into shape from this configuration for use is easy and don't hurt anything. Nice part. They then fit stacked on top each other in a plano box with one row of spacers removed. Sounds technical, but they are stored right with the other plano boxes nice and neat.

Check this site out. I have 2 of their driftbags, a leech tamer, and a bottom bouncer tamer. Quality stuff. The bouncer tamer is EXACTLY what you need.

I also 'pin' the arm of the bottom bouncer using the snap swivel to attach it to the main body. I put a rubber band around them as to size. I went down to Wal-Mart and bought a Tupperware box for less than $3.00. It is about 4" deep and about 10" to 12" long and I store my bouncers in there. I only have about 25 or so and it works well for me. I just put the box under the consol or in a compartment out of the way and they stay put and don't get all over the place.
Works for me.

IaDude,

The bouncer tamers are the way to go.I have four of them for all my bouncers. They also store easy . They make the Planer Tamer for the in-line boards which is excellent also.

I use the bouncer tamer myself. I like it a lot. It does tend to get a bit heavy but it holds a lot of bouncers.
Good luck. Larry
I also love both my my Bouncer Tamer. Nice gear.
I tried a bunch of different ideas and now use the following idea for my bouncers.
I picked up a couple of pieces of 2 1/2 inch pvc pipe. I used the chop saw to cut it to length, to allow the storage of the weights, and wire. Then, on one end, I cut several slots on one side of the pipe.
I put a cap on the bottom and a cap on the top, after putting the bouncers into the pipe, and letting the arms stick out the side. I use one pipe for each size bouncer.
Then, I simply drop the pipe in a convenient storage compartment.
The nice thing about this method, is that they don't get tangled, and because each pipe holds a different size - easy to get the right one.
A 10 foot section of pipe runs about $3. The caps are about $.50 each.
Take care

Check out the Clip-on bottom bouncer system. You'll be amazed at the ease and versatility these bottom bouncers offer. One of the best systems around for bouncers. The only place I've been able to find them is on FishingBuddy.com. I started using bouncers alot more since going to this method. Give them a try, you won't regret it! They have a pretty neat video showing how to use them. Mike Martin NPAA#648

Strolling through Cabella's, a friend of mine handed me a red pouch type thing with 4 compartments for storing bottom bouncers. I can sort the sizes out in it, and they don't get tangled up. Fits pretty good in the tackle box too.

Hands down the bouncer tamer is the way to store your bouncers. Been using mine for several seasons now and wouldn't think of using anything different!

Go to the tool section in Menards they sell clear plastic tubes with rubber caps on the ends, in varying lengths. Can store a number of bottom bouncers in them, plus put your tackle tamers with spinners and hooks in them to keep them from hooking everything. These are not the long ones sold for floresent lights.
