my unit was replaced with a new one by lowrance
I have used it twice and it seems to work better than my original one when it was brand new
time will tell if it is better or will let me down again
lowrance customer service is great, BUT what happened to their quality products ???
why are their so many problems with so many of their units ???
they used to be number one, but I don't know any more
if they want to stay on top they have to get back to QUALITY !!!!
there are far too many people having trouble with their lowrance products

humminbird used to make great fishfinders and then went down hill
I haven't bought one in a few years and don't know if they turned it around yet or not

no one wants to spend their hard earned dollars for a unit that has to be sent back for repairs after only a few months

come on lowrance where is the quality we have gotton befor and have come to expect

i just think a lot of the problems are people that dont know how to use them. my 2400 hasn't had any problems. as for lowrance, there are pretty equal complaints about all of them it seems. my vote is still lowrance.

the problems with mine was that it would change depths at random, not show fish in any mode, and then started to turn itself off at random times

the one they replaced it with seems seems to work very good so far

it doesn't sound like the problem is many guys not knowing how to use then to me
the problems are unit malfunctions not mis-interpretation of whats on the screen
