I have a 2050 1983 Trophy with a 120 hp.this boat has fished lake erie
for 20 years no hull problems.It is under powered for the size but I can live with that.don't know about the new models but there are alot out there on the water.as far as an engine to do 50 mph you better be looking at twin outboards for a 23 ft boat.Bayliners are a cheaper boat there is no dought about that.but I like mine and it get's me where I want to fish on the lake and it is not alot of money to run.
