The first is to go to Wal-mart and buy clear shelving paper (which is clear plastic with adhesive on one side.)and take the time to put it on to each page and get a 3 hole punch and a 3 ring binder and put them in it once you have done this it is very element resistent. This takes some time to do it right but its a good winter project and cost under 20.00 dollars to do.
The second is to take the book to office max or equivalent and have them laminate and punch holes for a binder in each page. This is a little more expensive 50.00 or more but you will not have to buy another book unless you loose it. Also getting newer editions and adding the new dive curves every 3-4 years is keeps you up to date and also lures that they discontinue publishing you can get copies from old editions and this gives you a more complete resource.

Those are excellent ideas.

thanks.

Another thing that will work is clear packing tape. Not as nice as your ideas, but it does help out.

Thanks for the idea Dean. My ziplock baggy doesn't do the job when it's raining out. ;-)
Like you suggested, I will make it a winter project, after I pick up the latest edition.

I second the nix on Ziplocks too Juls! Had to replace My 5th edition (stuck together mess) + the users manual for My Garmin 162. Thanks for the info- great winter project! Bob WC#253.

I scanned the pages I use, then print them out on heavy card stock paper and tape them in the top of plano boxes containing the same bait as the page. If one get wet or wrinkled its easy to replace.

I just write an abbreviated version of the dive curve on the Plano box which holds those particular lures, in magic marker (in feet of line out / feet down format e.g. 10/4, 30/10, 60/15, 80/20).

This works if you use Plano boxes and always use the same diameter of line.

Leave the bok at home, out of the rain.

I just memorize the book....just kidding!

The ones I use the most I do know by memorization for 10 lb mono and fireline but the ones I do not use much I write the 10 foot depth-feet back level on the lip with a water proof marker...It never seems to make any difference.

Just an idea
