What is the Dunkirk Lake Erie walleye limit per day? I know that the printed regulations state that the limit is 4. These regs were obviously printed prior to Oct 1, 2002 since that was the effective date of the regs. Although the regs state "4", I noticed that the number of 'eyes weighed in at the recent PWT tournament per angler was "5" thus the reason for my question. I guess that the regs could have changed since being published last year. Either way, my intention is to not exceed (I am an optimist) the limit. Plan to be fishing for 'eyes out of Dunkirk later this week. THANKS!!

The limit is indeed 4 fish/angler. The 5 fish limits weighed in during the PWT were due to the fact there were 2 people in the boat.

Thanks, eyedoktr, for your quick reply! Two friends and I will make the 300+ miles drive to Dunkirk on Wed of this week and plan to fish all day on Thursday and on Friday (and maybe a few hours on Wed afternoon/evening). I watched the Dunkirk PWT program yesterday on the "old" TNN channel and got really excited about our upcoming trip. Hope we can find a few of those fantastic 'eyes and are lucky enough to lock on to a few for a good fish fry when we get back home!!
