In another post, Brian 1785 was asking about a certain chip. I have a question on a certain map, myself.
"Hotspots" has quite a few locations on mmc cards, but not for the location I need.
THUS.... is it possible for me to buy: Navionics (gold map) - map #1G7285(on mmc)..ONLY...from some source.
This would be the Columbia River map.
I have an X-15mt.
Any suggestions?
Any body out in that area have an idea?
Thanks in advance.

If you get more specific T-Mac I will send you GPS points for what ever body you want. You have helped quite a few of us out here alot and about half of us have almost every fish for the last year on GPS. Will yours connect with a PC? Besides you do not need Columbia River chip as you would be in boat with somebody from out here!!!! Take care and give me specific section of river and we can work from there. thanks, wa_walleye

Thanks. I appreciate that very much. Don't know if I'll get there this fall..but I want to be ready if I do.
I know most of the water from Umatilla down to Arlington (Or.) and from John Day dam down past Miller Is. pretty well. I used to fish those stretches for years. (from '81 thru '91). I've got the (paper) maps for the whole river from Tri-cities down...but I'd like the navionics ability on my X-15, particularly below Bonneville. I am not experienced below Bonneville.
I was hoping "hotspots" would have it available. Doesn't appear to be the case. I can buy the whole Navionics package, but the ONLY place I ever fish where Navionics has mapped, is the Columbia.
I am trying to save a buck! :) If there is some company or store or ? that has just the Columbia on an mmc card..I'd be interested in buying one. Contours are my main concern.
PS: I'll try contact you, Wa_wa...if I get a chance to get down there.

T-mac I don't suppose that the C-map cartride well work ?? I have one you could borrow if it works, also you might call them and see if they have a compatable chip, the # on my case is 1-800-424-2627
I hope this helps.

Yeah, Ed. It's been awhile since I was out that way, and I have missed the old Columbia. At least, that is the plan so far.

Hey, thanks eyechsr!
The C-map won't work. Or, at least, it is beyond my technical skills, if it is do-able.
By the way, who is at that phone number? I'll give them a call. I sure appreciate the help.
Thanks !

I am looking REAL HARD at a new River Pro 1872 "HI-Pro" with the option of the Mercury 200 OptiMax Jet Drive, or better yet the Mercury 250 OptiMax M2 Jet Drive. Better fuel efficiency with the M2 and some extra cool features that would be handy for my needs.
I have seen 5 guides locally get new River Pro's this season alone. The MN DNR has them now for enforcement boats (they love them!) and I think you will see more agencies in the region with them very soon. A Very cool rig for skinny waters that eat up props for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
You can look at them at www.riverpro-boats.com if you wish.

We sell a fair number of smaller jet set-ups. 16', 17', 18' 20' jons with Jet OBs. (center consoles &/or side consoles). Fun river fishing & hunting! Man..our rivers are REALLY skinny right now.
Talk soon.

Your welcome T-Mac, the company is C-MAP USA (the electronic chart standard company)they make the c-map cartridge that I use in my Global Map 2000 and they are more accurate then the river atlis I have been using, most of the time I can just look for a break line on the global map run my boat over then and I'm within a few feet of it, so I hope they also make the smaller chips as well.
I sure like the looks of the new color Lowrance units and well probably get my partner to get one when we order his 1900 Pro-v next spring, I do hate the Idea of having to get different chips agian when we have about $450 in these ones.
take it easy and let us know if you do get out here!!
