I know this has been flying around the rumor mill. But, could someone in the know tell me if they are indeed going to stop making the fiberglass Targa 2000? I heard they are going to a 20 ft Aluminun boat. I'm looking for a definite answer. Somebody out there should know something for sure. Thanks.

I hope not. Nothing rides like a fiberglass boat period. There could not possibly be any arguements. I have rode in aluminum boats of the same size and there is no comparison. That would imagine it would hurt boat sales for Tracker.

I've had reps mention a 20' "formed" aluminum boat. A larger version of their new technology aluminum boat. But, this is the first I've heard of not making the 20 Targa glass boat. That would seem like a big mistake.

If they do discontinue that boat you can be almost sure someone will buy the molds and reproduce them under a new name.

I heard the same thing about a 20 foot Tundra. Maybe we'll see a 20 foot Fisher?
