Currently I have the Garmin 160 Blue as my main sonar. I am considering upggrading to either the Garmin 240 or 168 and would like to put my 160 on the trolling motor.

Does anyone know whether the Garmin pucks are interchangable with each other? I am wondering if I can use the existing puck and speed with either the 240 or 168.

Also, how is the trolling motor transducer for the 240 different?

Added to this is the fact that I am strongly considering the MK AP 65 with universal sonar.

How do you like the Garmin 168 or is it better to get the 162 and keep the GPS and sonar separate.

Finally, is it worth an upgrade, or should I just switch my Garmin 160 to the bow when I use the trolling motor. With the universal sonar this would be a cheaper option. But is the factory puck better than the one supplied with the Minkota?

Last summer, with the Garmin 160, I had problems trying to differentiate disturbance and bait fish -- I really was never sure which it was. Will an upgrade help or is it just me?

Lots of questions -- hope that someone can help.

Thanks for your help?
