I have finally learn't how to tie a good snell knot on my spinners. I need to now tie a knot that won't slip to connect my spinner line to my main line. I want to place a "loop" in the line for connecting purposes. Any suggestion on kind of knot to tie here?

Thats the easy part! What I do is make a loop in the line, grab the top of the loop and wrap it around your index finger, bring the loop back through the loop you created around your index finger and tighten it up.

If that makes any sense!! LOL

i would suggest you eliminate the loop idea since it just creates another breaking potential point in the line. unlike most, but without fail, i tie directly to the swivel of whatever type of sinker system you have, by putting the line through the eye and wrapping it around the main line about fifteen to twenty times and than back through the first little loop by the eye and pull tight, slowly sliding all those twists to the eye. most wrap about six to eight times, going back through the little loop by the eye and then back again through the bigger loop and slide tight. the second move creates a problem, once in a great moon, and failure happens...at the wrong time. one time is too many. be sure to wrap at least 15 to twenty times if using my way or it will slide. ( about two inches of twists around the main line)hard to teach this stuff with a key board! good luck!

Thats a good description of a loop knot . Works well . Knots are fun ! Unless you're in your boat & the wind is blowing . A good sourse for knot tying instructions is at www.fishingcairns.com . They have all the knots you'll probably ever need . A couple more good loop Knots are surgeons end loop , spider hitch & also blood blight knot . Go to sight , click on rigs & bait , then go to tying knots section . One picture is worth a thousand words . Good Luck
