I just received my X15 and was noticing that additional mapping software other than Map Create is available through Navionics including a series of HotMaps. I'm really interested in Lake Oahe and have emailed them in this regard. I'm assuming the definition is vastly superior to Map Create if the software is the same as the Fishing Hotspot maps. Has anyone utilized the HotMaps for an X15?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

Boomer-
1. Navionics doesn't have Oahe ready yet. If you find out the release date please post it.
2. The scale you can zoom down to varies by the lake. It depends on the original data used to make the map. I know some guys have posted here about not being able to get closer than 1/2 mile on some maps which might make bottom contours less useful. Any one have a Hotspot map that can zoom down to .10 mile?

I don't have a map yet, although I have done quite a bit of checking on them. Mainly for Erie. The $200. price tag is a little rough but guess that is just the way it is. I wish I knew if all their info on the map was worth the investment. Once you buy it, you own it. If anyone has used their map on an X15 for Erie, please fill me in on your thoughts.
thanks,

i noticed on the lowrance web site that now they have map create6. does anyone know what that consists of?
I've got a Navionics HotSpot map of Leech Lake on my Lowrance GM1600. The software's contours for Leech are the same as the printed maps, which are marginally accurate at best. But the contours do give reference points on the lake to get you close and give you something to reference when trolling. You don't need to punch as many waypoints. It would be nice if it were more detailed and accurate but it's better than nothing and was worth the $25.

Does anyone have the Naavionics map(us649T12)for Lake Erie and Lake Sinclair for the X15mt? How do you like it and would you buy it again? If not this map, what do you have?
I really would appreciate some response. Thank you.

Check out navionics web page, they now sell hot maps by the region for 129$ Not all the lakes just a few .I love them. If yours has gps you will see your location at all times, it will save alot of time trying to find structure. You`ll be in the ballprk faster. Just my thoughts .
