Does anyone know where or the best way to lock a locator or gps? Have called Lowrance and they said they stock no such item. I have one that is keyed into the knob on an old Eagle 9000 and works fine but can't find them anymore. Thanks in advance. These locators are not cheap anymore and anything to avoid theft would be of great help.

Most anglers I know use a detachable system such as Ram or Johhny Ray and they store the unit in lockable storage or in the vehicle.

I agree. Remove the electronics easily with a Ram or Johnny Ray. I then place them in a Rubber Maid container (The 8 gallon size I think) I keep an old towl in there to wrap them up.

Then, with a black magic marker, I wrote "DIAPERS" on the outside. I have not had a problem with theft.
