Have a '96 Pro V 1890. Am switching from a 42PD/AP which is a 12V to a 65PD/AP which is 24V.
Vaguely remember when I bought the boat that the grey plug provided was for 12V installations and the red plug provided was for the charger. Is there another plug that I need for the 24V installation? Is it something that I have to order from lund or does it come with the motor? Do I have to change how the two trolling batteries are wired or is the wiring the same but the plug does the switching. Thanks in advance, I know one of you has the answer. P.S. leave in six days for the walleye opener and the motor still hasn't showed up yet. To top it off, I don't know if I have the right plugs or how to wire it. Don't care if I'm tubing it , I'm going for the opener.

hpat,
As far as I remember right now without looking it up. If you are hooking up a straight 24 volt motor you will want to use the orange and black of the 3 wire plug. If you are using a 12/24 system the orange is 24, the red is 12 and the black is ground. If your batteries are independently wired to the trolling motor plugs and not hooked in series the difference will be made up at the plug. But as mentioned before if it is just a straight 24 the orange and black will do for you and there will be no need for the red one. I hope this helps. Have a great trip.
Keep Rippin'
