Hi,
When I was casting with Spiderwire 30-6 for Salmon in Michigan two years ago,I lost some Lures and Fish when it seemed like I didn't have a lot of pressure on them.I was using a Palmor Knot, since then I have been using a Palmor Knot and adding a Improved Cinch on top of it.I have only lost I Lure since.Does ayone else have any Ideas on this.

If you ever see a package of Raptor braided line there is a knot on there called a speed knot. Ive been using it for years and then I saw that it was recommended for braided line. It has never slipped on me and it is super easy to tie. Wish I could explain it in words but I think it would be tough.Give me your e-mail and I will try to explain it.

I think you have a good idea . My step-son was having a similar problem . I thought he was tying the palomar wrong so I tied it for him & handed him the lure . Told him to trim off the excess . He cut it less than a 16th of an inch . That was the problem . Superlines are so "slippery" they tend to slip a little sometimes . He started leaving about 1/4 inch tag end . No more problems .

I also was having problems with fire line until i started to melt the line after i make the knot i burn the end off with a lighter it melts
and makes a hard lump on the end no more fish off. works for me.
