View Full Version : What Type of Lure Is This?

For the life of me I can't remember what type of lure this is. I bought several at Walmarts 5 or so years ago and I'm down to my last one. They dont carry it anymore, nor do Meijers, Cabelas, Bass Pro. There are no names or trademarks on it. I've even surfed e-bay and I am going nuts. Please go to the site below and take a look and tell me if you have any idea.
It's a deep diver, 4" long (including body and lip). There are no identifiers on it at all.
Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

I don't know the model name, but it looks like a Bagley product.

I think it's made by Bagleys. Not 100% sure. Hope this helps. Good luck.

It looks like the Bagley Bang-O-B! Bagley made a number of different sizes in these lures, if memory serves me correctly. Here is the 8" Musky version:

It looks identical to your lure, in design. Are they still making the smaller versions? - I don't know. I haven't seen Bagley lures for some time.

[b]Looks like a Bagley all right. The body style is awful close to a Rapala Fat Rap or Mini Fat Rap.

It does look a lot like a Bagley. I'm going to go out on a limb though and suggest that it might be a Smithwick lure. I'm basing this guess on the type of eye your lure shows. Try checking their website.

Yep Bagley but you might find something comparable made by Poe's, that "flourescent cocoa" was ahead of its time. If you can tolerate, err... "they" that is can tolerate the rattles Bandit lures might help you.

I have one identical to that hanging in my garage (no box) but I'm certain it is a Renegade. It was a Wal-Mart purchase and the box (if I remember correctly) said something to the effect that Renegade was a
sponsor or co-sponsor of the RCL walleye tournaments that Wal-Mart promoted or sponsored.

I did a quick check on e-bay and there some lots of a dozen each selling but it appears that the colors have changed over the years. Packaging is similar to what I remember.

How bad do you want one like the one you have?:>)

Brad,
These are the "killers" for the lake we go to in the late spring/early summer. I need this lure and color combo.
Thanks,
Bub

Looks like a Bagley Walleye Snack. Picture in the 1993 In-Fish-erman Walleye Guide, page 117. I knew I saved those old magazines for some reason.

It looks real similar to the Bass Pro Shops lure called a Pro Qualifier, they are a plastic molded They only made them for a few years but I have 15 to 20 of them still new in the package hanging in my basement. I will check when I get home if they have any markings on the bill. If anyone is interested I guess they could be for sale.
