I will be up in northwest South Dakota on business in April. I will be taking a company vehicle, so pulling my boat up there is not an option. Can anyone tell me what type of shore fishing that one can do either on the Missouri River around Pierre or Chamberlain?
I guess I would start out below the dams. Should be a local that could give you some pointers(unless you're from MN, LOL).
My brother's been doing well below the dam at yankton in the evenings. He and a buddy called me from the shore last night and they had 5 walleyes and a couple nice catfish. There's also plenty of shore room at the tailrace above chamberlain, or you could try just downstream of cedar shores, I've seen people fishing down there occasionally.
