Planer Board Releases

Just recieved a dozen planer board releases from Amish Outfitters and they are completely different from any releases I've ever used. I've always used the yellow offshore releases for walleyes but thought I'd try something different. They give you rubber bands with the releases and it looks like it goes between the front little nubs in front of the little adjustment screw, but where does it snap on to the planer board line? Help!!

The slot slides over top of the tow line - will be a bit tight at first. Once you get used to them they are great. You can adjust the tension on the screw as needed.

I will try them on Sat. as the weather is supposed to be nice with 60 degree weather. I'll try to squeeze the planer board line into the slot and go from there. Have a great season and may the weather be better this Spring than last year.

It was funny meeting you at Walter's and finding out who you were. I think your boy was giving the old guys a real whuppen on the lanes. We definitley have to get together on my boat for trolling on Lake Erie or yours for the river. Your welcome on my boat anytime. You can bring your son as long as he doesn't give us a lesson like he did last Fri.LOL.Heres to a great season.
