Is anyone familiar w/ these rods? They appear to be much higher end than the Heartland rods I've run across in the past. They have all Japanese writing all over them and have $40,000 Yen price tags - I think that's like $300 US. I've found a bunch on clearance and am thinking of picking up some M/L and L's.

TTT Does anybody use these? I've found them on clearance for $59 where they retail in Japan for the equivalent of $300 - $400.
($1 = approx 105 Yen)

Yes, I use them. Had good success for the past two years with them. I paid $50 each through our local tackle store (I did buy 12 of them so it may have helped me get a better price). I'm pretty hard on my equipment and they have held up very well. Duffy

Schmuel, use some restraint!! Your garage is already full of bargains too good to pass up!Soon you'll have more rods then Ed Shirley! What are you going to do,start fishing with Diawas and sell all the Rogues at the flea market?

I got a 7 ft. medium light. I caught many walleyes with it last year. I can't say I found one problem with it. It may not stand up to some of the more expensive rods but it will do the job.
