I was just wondering if anyone knows of a walleye club in the western suburbs of the twin cities. I live in Buffalo and haven't been able to locate any in this area. Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing. I live in Elk River.
A couple of my buddies fish in a "bass league" in the west metro, mostly out of convenience.

The only club I am aware of is the Minnesota Valley In-Fisherman Club which meets in Apple Valley. You can see their announcement everyweek in the Outdoor News. They are one of if not the oldest In-Fisherman Club left from the beginnings of Al Linder.

What does it take to get one started?

I am all for a west metro walleye club. I have been looking for one too, but there only seems to be clubs out for bass(green carp).

I am part of a walleye club in the Brainerd area and we are looking to add chapters throughout the state. The name of the group is the Minnesota Walleye Alliance. We have an annual banquet, outing and a tournament in the fall. You can read about the group at our web site. http://www.mnwalleyealliance.com.
Hope to have you on board.
