Opemisca Lake near Chapais Quebec

Has anybody fished here? Where did you fish and what were your favorite baits and techniques.

I have never fished in that lake. It is a relatively shallow lake. The fishing is great even though it's almost in the town of Chapais. There is an important walleye tournament there in June. Most anglers use jigs, bottom bouncers and crank baits. No need to fish deep. The water stays quite cool all summer. Acces is easy. It's hard to find any lake that is not good up in that area. Thanks phern. I was thinking of maybe going to that tournament. Just trying to find out as much as I could before I go.

I would go at least a day or 2 before the tournament and check out the fishing.

I plan to prefish four days before the pro tournament and one day will fish the amateur portion of the tournament.
