Bottomline tackle in Gibralter sells Canadien licences as well as Lakeside in St Clair Shores. I buy mine over the phone every year for an annual license. I'm not sure they sell a 1 day license, but I think they have a 7 day, still not a bad deal.
Good luck

Keep in mind that the shops in Michigan that sell them actually drive over to Canada and buy them - the process takes about a week. There are no over the counter Canadian license sales in Michigan. If you're fishing the Detroit River, there's a bait shop on the upper river on the Windsor side called Edgewater - you can just tie up your boat and buy one.

Tom-
Do you still need an I 68 form to tie up and go to the bait shop? Just curious, I never got a Can licence before.
And does anyone know how much the 1 day ones are?

The I-68 is only needed (in theory) when you return to the US after being in Canadian water; it has no bearing on you going to Canada. From the officials that I talked to this spring, though, there is no point in getting one.
To be legal, the first thing you need to do when you dock your boat in Canada is to go directly to the nearest payphone and call in to Canadian customs. They should have the number posted at the phone.
One-day licenses are $16 Cdn.

Each province (similar to a state in the U.S.) has a fishing licence with it's particular rules, regulations, price etc.
Nicks on the Edgewater Bait shop this year.
There is some construction going on in the marina and the bait shop is not open.
Wallys Bait & Tackle in Windsor has what you need. Gotta drive there in the truck, no boat access.

there is a small pizza joint/tackle shop on the river just up from duffy's and the coastguard station, across from bois blanc is. that sells them. can't remember the name, they have a fair sized dock, so tying up isn't a problem.

You need an I-68 form IF you are going to touch land in Canada. You need to report into Ontario Customs and then YOU MUST report to the Homeland Security officer when you return to the U.S. and he will request your I-68 number....
