I JUST PURCHASED THE NEW X100C. IN YOUR ESTIMATION WHAT IS THE BEST SETTING TO VIEW FISH ARCHES? AS OF NOW I FISH IN THE WINNEBAGO CHAIN IN WISCONSIN, MAX DEPTH IS 20FT. I ALSO RUN A LMS 320. SEEMS I HAVE ALOT OF CLUTTER ON SCREEN. ASP DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER IN ANY MODE. MOUNTED ON DASH AWAY FROM GPS MODULE, DEDICATED POWER LINE TO STARTING BATTERY. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS, RODHOG FROM WISCONSIN.

I have my X100c adjusted with colorline at about 55-60%, sensitivity set on Manual at 80%, zoom at 2x, ping speed and chart speed at 100%. I usually fish in 30-50 feet of water...if you fish in shallow or deeper water, you may want to adjust it differently. Occasionally, I see a lot of clutter on the screen...from I don't know what. When that occurs, I tweak the sensitivity down a bit...until the clutter just disappears...usually around 72%. I have no trouble seeing fish arches...small and large ones...just off the bottom and suspended. I frequently am able to see fish cruising along...they show up as a line. I can also see my jig in 45 feet of water...especially when the sensitivity is set at 80%. It has been fun to watch a walleye follow my jig up and down several times before biting. Also, it was fun to watch a heavy solid line cruise along just above the bottom obviously swimming behind my brother's jig...then he got a hit...a 32-inch walleye that we landed, photographed and released. THe X-100c is a real nice unit...it is easy to pick out fish from structure with it. Hope this helps. -NWA

Have you figured out what to set this at yet? I just bought one and have all kinds of clutter in the middle of the screen. My X-67c never did this.

Thanks for your help. Chris
