What size of ball bearing swivel (Sampo) would you recomend for trolling? Also, what size of barrel swivel if I decide to go that route.

The smallest one that you are comfortable with.
Any of the swivels are going to be stronger than the breaking test of your line.
So, the only real issue is; can you work with the size of the swivel.
So many folks use a swivel that is much too large for their needs.
Unless you have a reason to go larger - use the smallest available.

I like the 1.25" coastlock. Handles about 35 lbs. Here's a link:
