My long-term goals are a 30" walleye, a 40" northern and a 50" musky (all caught in inland MN waters). So far, my bests have been 28/38/46 respectively. I'd like to meet at least one of my long-term goals this year. Also, I'd like to get my wife out fishing more.

My goals are to have a good time and fish as much as possible.

Fish 500+ hours on the water this year. (Shouldnt be too hard since I already have over 100 hours in and the season is just getting warmed up!)

As far as my fish size goals.
Catch a 29"+ Walleye (28" is my biggest)
Catch a Muskie over 45" (I don't often fish for Musky but plan to this year)
Smallmouth over 20" (19" is my biggest)

Good question. Other than fishing as often as possible, having a ton of fun and learning alot more,I guess I do have a couple. This is the first year that I've fished an entire tournament series (KAWA) my goals there are for my partner (Gilligan) and I to finish in the top three at least once and to finish in the top 10 overall at the end of the year. I've also had a goal for a long time now......a 15# walleye. My largest so far is 13.7# but I just know there's a 15 out there waiting for me and my new boat. BTW, the new boat WAS another goal.

My MWC partner tells me my goal is to fish well enough to qualify for the (MWC) Championship. But I would rather set a goal to fish hard every tournament and to have fishing fun every day. Come what may.:-)

My goal would be to get my wife to fish with me again! She used to fish with me until my intensity and type A personality got the best of her. Seems I made some comment about her driving the boat in more circles than a drunken sailor while I was setting lines. I promised I would behave but she just dosen't seem t believe it. :(

Gilligan, an auto-pilot as a gift might show her your sincerity. : )

My overly zealous goal of a 12lb'r last year turned my wife off. Although that goal was accomplished, I promised her this year I'd gladly be "net boy" for her 13lb'r.

04 Goal: Keep on keeping on and enjoying those Lake Erie sunsets

My goal is the same every year. Win every tournament I enter and catch the 5 biggest Walleyes in the lake for each one. Might not be a realistic goal but that's what I'm aiming for each time. When "recreational" fishing with my buddy, it's to catch the first legal fish. After that it's to kick his ever-lovin asp all day long. I want him sobbing and whining by the end of the day. I want him humbled and quiet and just shaking his head all the way home. If you knew my fishing buddy, you would know why having him shut-up for more than 3 minutes at a time is such a major accomplishment! LOL. (It's my goals,,, I can dream)

I'm going to focus on trolling cranks this year.

Being a classic underachiever, I don't set too many goals.

I dunno... I don't make many goals. I do plan to get my 5 year old son out fishing A LOT this year. Probably buy a tent and take the family tenting on lake pickerel or enemy swim for a weekend too. Hard to fit in between all the tournaments and yard work, but I figure it'll be the most important weekend all summer.

I've achieved the 1st step in the ladder that leads to my Ranger 620 or 621... buying a house! My wife and I agreed a long time ago that after we buy the house the next major purchase will be the Ranger - I have longed for that boat since I first laid eyes on one - it's my ticket to fishing freedom, having been shackled to the shoreline my whole life... I can close my eyes and see myself on Erie, Michigan, Big Stone, the Mississippi, the Illinois River, the Detroit River...

When I turn the key and fire up the big motor, glance to the passenger seat and see my wife or brother/fishing partner I'll know that everything is right in the world as I "hit it" and start the run to the next fishing adventure - it flows in my veins boys - as it does in some of yours, I hope you each take time to enjoy it this coming year...

My goals for this year are modest. 1) Get to know the local lakes and rivers (especially the rivers) much better. Reason: Lack of time off and money for travel. 2) Try to keep up with my 5 year old grandson and his non-stop desire to go fishing. Lord, I am proud to say that I have created a fishing monster. Now that I have written it down these two goals no longer seem modest! Have a great fishing season everyone.

I guess my goal should be to get my wife to tye up her own setups and bait her own hooks. Then I'm going to pray for the impossible, get her to take her fish off.
Our day together is Jim bait my hook, take the fish off, bait, take off, bait, I'm snagged, bait , I'm snagged, bait.

Our day of fishing is get up at 10:00 on water by 11:00 lunch at 12:00. Then Bait, take off, I'm snagged, bait.

My goals are to find a super model that likes to sun bath in the front of my boat, yea I know its more of a dream but heck you have to have them to.
I would honestly say that a top goal would be to fish a few more times than I did last year. And try to get my oldest daughter to go with me at least once (she at that age where boys and pop stars are her goals)

My goal is to enjoy the outdoors more with my wife and kids. Whether it is fishing, golfing, camping or whatever, we need to get away from the computers and TVs.
