View Full Version : Line for bottom bouncer -- mono or braided?

What line would you recommend for a bottom bouncer reel? Mono or braided. I also intend to use the rod/reel for some casting.

I use braid on mine. I don't lose many bouncers that way, and it telegraphs bites way better when using a heavy bouncer or when in a rod holder.

Rick the advantage of using braided is that you are less likly to loose your diver and it is much more sensative when a fish takes the bait so you are more likly to feel the bite. I use the same poles for dipsys, jets and bottom bouncers so braided is ideal for me.
