I was talking with some guys at work and the subject of how to hook a minnow for vertical jigging came up, so I thought I would see what the WC pack had to say on this subject. Which method do you feel keeps your bait alive the longest or helps it stay on the hook longer. Feel free to add any I could not fit in choices above.

Thru the top of the head and out the the throat. Upside down on the jig. They really struggle to right themselves and don't come off when aggresive jigging.

I've had good luck hooking in one eye and out the other. Keeps them
lively and haven't had too much problem with them getting off the
hook.

Have a good one!

Yep! Someone where recommended it to me last year because the fish kept hitting the jig from the front and just mangling the head. Seemed to make the difference until late May when the eyes got real agressive.
