Is there Fishing Hot Spots for Devils Lake, ND. I looked at Garmin`s web page and it suggests that it is covered in the Central region. If you are running it is it worth the investment. I am running a Garmin 176C and the Blue Charts are great for the regions I have.

I searched for the same thing last summer and discovered that due to the rise in water over the last decade, it really hasn't been mapped. There are a few out there, but not a Hot Spots. On my Garmin Lakes and Recreation map I was fishing on dry land for a good part of my trip. It is possible that this has changed since last year.

Have you heard of or seen the Pro Pointer maps. These maps are supposed to have over 100 GPS waypoints for Devils Lake. If these are accurate then you could just enter the waypoints into your Garmin. The only downfall as you mentioned is there are no accurate maps for Garmin presently. But for me the waypoints would be a great start. I run Fugawi software, so it would be possible to plot the GPS coordinates onto a digital map. The print it out as a hard copy for reference.

You'll find a very good map at Ed's Bait shop in Devils Lake. That's where we found it anyway. I believe it is the Pro's Pointers Map that was previously talked about in another post. Depths are in different colors, making it easy to read, fast.
It also has the waypoints for hotspots on the lake.
