Try these:

McClelland's Guide Service, Mike McClelland has this business, but their website doesn't seem to work. Maybe do a search for it.

Are you sure that this is Mike McClelland's web site? Its home page lists guides as Ray and Jack McClelland.
Another possibility is Greg Adams' web site: http://www.angelfire.com/sd/walleyizer/
I haven't fished with Greg, but he appears to be reputable. If he's busy, I believe (from visiting his website) that he works with other guides when he has large parties or is already booked.

That is a good question. I know Mike has the Cheyanne Ridge Lodge and has a guide service out of there. I think the service mentioned previously is a family affair, but not sure if Mike is directly connected. I will have to do some research.

Mike sold cheyenne ridge last year. Ray is Mikes nephew, and I think he guides there. Harry Stiles was guiding there, too.

You will still find Harry Stiles working out of Cheyenne Ridge.
Harry is a fun guy to go fishing with. You would have a good time with him.;-)

Took my wife to Oahe summer of 2002 and fished with "Doc" (Steve Doken or something like that). He and his wife have a nice 4 bedroom lodge with satallite TV, nice kitchen, pool table, deck outside. Rocky (Docs wife) will cook breakfast and supper if you like and Doc is a good fisherman. Had a good time despite the brutal wind one day and brutal heat the next.
605-264-5451 ask for Doc or Rocky-located about 20 miles N of Pierre.

Oahe has an overabundance of guides. Prices range from $130 - $300 per day. South Dakota Outdoors magazine publishes a "Fishing & Hunting Guide Directory" annually. You can contact them at: POB 669 Pierre SD 57501 or by telephone at (605) 224-7301. You can purchase the directory for $2. If you want to do some homework on SD fishing & hunting, I'd send them $15 (or whatever the current price) for a year's subscription.
And every motel I've stayed at in Pierre has a stack of flyers from local guides as do the bait shops. I've been satisfied with both guides I've used on Oahe - - one is named Bob Propst, the other is also named Bob Propst.

If you can get Bob Sr or Bob Jr you can't go wrong Bob Propst Sr has forgot more about fishing than most people know..he is a gold mine of information on walleye fishing.

I totally agree Bob Probst Sr. probably the best fisherman/guide
in the area.

I would like to sincerely thank all of you for the information you have provided for my friend. I have passed all of this info along to him and now he is well armed to set up a good trip. This is one of the things that makes WC such a good site.

Holy-crapoly!
$130-$300 for a walleye guide? I have fished Alaska, Central and South America, Mexico, Canada and the Virgin Islands and have never paid over 200 clams for guide. These guys on Oahe must be REALLY good.
Good fishin' guys
