Thru hull transducer

I have an X-15 with a thru hull transducer on my 620. It had been working great until last weekend. When I get past 18 fow it loses the bottom and the depth starts flashing. I think I should just go to a transom mount. Anyone had this problem?:(

Are you talking about a punched thru the hull transducer or an in-hull transducer??
