I am using MSN Explorer, and when I write emails, I don't see how I am able to save attachments that are sent to me. When I try to just forward a funny or two, or anything attached for that matter, the attachment doesn't show up on the recipients end. Am I missing something here?

This is the goofiest system I have ever used, and I really don't like it.

Thanks in advance...

Juls

I completely agree Juls!

@%! ratin-sasin ^#% diddl-ganger !$$%!#$ MSN really harsh's my mellow Eh!

The attachment deal is still a mystery except to send it to one of their file folders, still not sure where that is just yet?

To be able to get at the content of a forwarded email I go to the "More" tab and hit on the "Message details" tab. This expands the mail and you can then cut and paste the desired stuff into someplace more USEFULL.

Grrrrrrr!

I much more prefer the Explorer 6 and the Outlook Express mail system then this MSN nightmare.

Every day I feel myself regressing into my old Happy Gilmore self due to this MSN thingy!

hi ya Juls..
not sure what to tell ya...except ditch the msn thing!
I like Eudora as a mail client, very user friendly.....and for webbased email try www.onebox.com. It's free!

Juls,

To send an attachment I am just opening up the "more" box which shows you the option to send a file or attachment. As soon as you hit the "save as draft" button should save anything that goes with the message. I am sure you have already done these things so maybe there is something else wrong.

That part I understand. It's the saving the attachments that are sent to me that is causing the problem. When I save them and try to open them from the folder I sent them too, there is nothing there. If I forward an email that was sent to me, and it has an attachment, the person receiving it doesn't get the attachment. I sure liked using Outlook Express much better. After my 6 months free of MSN is done, I'm dumping it and going with something else. I guess I can put up with it for that long...

Thanks for the responses guys...helps to know that it's not just me..lol

Now I understand what you are saying. I haven't tried any of that yet with this new computer.

I am having a big problem with this automatic passport sign in that came with the MSN Explorer. I get error messages every time I get online or check my email or use the Windows Messenger online contacts service. I can use all these things but I have to type in my password everytime even though I check the "sign me in automatically" box. I have gotten the run around from MSN support and Windows support and now I am explaining the problem to Dell.

I hear ya on getting rid of this MSN thing after the frre introductory period. Gee wiz this is frustrating!

Not sure what the problem is, I just saved an attachment to a temp folder on my hard drive by double clicking on the file name next to "attachment" and it works fine.

The only problem that I don't like about this is that msn is supposed to have an automatic spell check. It doesn't work. I still like this a little better than AOL, which isn't saying much.

Juls, mine does the same thing. I asked my brother, who does these things for a living, and HE said, something about a built in virus protection in the bios something, what ever that is. He recomended a norton anti virus program which I got, but don't know if that will fix the ptoblem. Time will tell....
