I saw on Gambler boats webpage taht they have a picture of their biggest boat and it has a 300 horse Merc verado on the back of it. Is Mercury planning on selling these because I looked on their Mercs webpage and all they have is the 275 hp Verado. Can anyone say for sure if they are going to have a 300 hp motor.

Man I hope so, I don't see how anyone would want a motor smaller than 300 HP on a fishing boat.

I wonder when reality is going to set in on how big of motors we really need to have on the boats. I wonder how much more money that each additonal horsepower on average costs a guy when he's buying an engine.

It would really pay in the long run to be a tiller fisherman for walleye. Just think of how much money you would save on gas and oil. I'm assuming a predominant amount of tiller engines are four strokes.

I went to the Gambler web site and that 300hp is not a verado. Merc doesn't make a 300 verado, 275 is the biggest now. The motor pictured is the 300 xs racing merc.
