Considering adding these to my tackle box. What size is most often used, the 20, 30 or 40? Is one of them a universal? What type of tackle do you need to run them. I already have dipseys and the gear to pull them. Mainly fish the western basin of Lake Erie.

For the west end 20s are all you need. They go 20' with 100' of line out and 30' with 150'. Tip: tune the divers like you would a lure. Sticks, spoons, and small bladed harnesses work fine on them. Nothing deep diving or hard pulling. Good Luck.

What I like about the Jet Diver (20 & 30) is that I can run them off of my in-line planer boards. I use the Offshore brand of planer board and the Jet Divers work well w/ them.

Just a thought.

ETT,
Do you know about the 30 jets, what depth they run. I use 8/30 ripcord, and hate guessing. Do they reallly run at 30 feet with 100 ft out, on the top hole. If you look at the precission trolling book, at the 20 chart, you would think it would run deeper. Thanks in advance for the info.

I do not know for sure. we assume they act like the 20s and go to 30' @ 100' out, Then we give them 40 at 150 (I know it should be 45' but I just can't see that) They do catch fish.
