A search here on WC under "dipsey divers" could yeild days of reading materials. A crash course (a charter with an experiened dipsey troller) to shorten your learning curve would be the best way to get started.

Another place to look would be on Dean Clifton's "Denied" webpage. Scroll down to the "helpful hints" link and I believe he covers it pretty well. There are also lots of posts on Dipseys here on Walleye Central if you do a search.
