I thought I saw a post here by REW on Mille Lacs yesterday...
Anyway, think about this:
- 1 FIVE POUND HERON CONSUMES APPROX. 20 LBS. OF SUNFISH ANNUALLY
- 20 LBS. OF SUNFISH REQUIRE 200 LBS. OF WATERFLEAS ANNUALLY
- 200 LBS. OF WATERFLEAS REQUIRE 2000 LBS OF ALGAE EVERY YEAR TO SURVIVE!
Remove any one below the Heron and the Heron does not survive. Altering any eco-system can have it's share of problems.
