I am going on vacation to the U.P, and was wondering if the Whitefish Bay area has a good enough walleye population to bring the boat. I really enjoy fishing the bigger waters and would welcome the challenge of finsing the fish, just curious if anyone knows if there are some present.

Thanks....

The weather has been bad everyday...Haven't heard any reports...The fish may still be in the back bay of Brimley or up in the Waiska(whiskey) river...Troll harnesses in the bay and jigs in the river...Big open water trolling for eyes up there is something that needs looking into because there are good fish in Superior...However I don't know of anything that's been done to make it worthwhile...Awesome laketrout fishing at Stanard Rock about 40 miles northwest of Munising............Good luck, Paul
