Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on them so far? Do they catch fish or fisherman? I bought a half dozen, but haven't trolled with them yet.

Neal,

I did really good with the Deep HJ12 Glass Shad (the largest white-colored one) this spring. My buddy caught a few on the purple perch. I heard the green or blue green one (can't remember the color name) did well for others. This was all in Lake Erie pretty early in the year. Haven't heard much lately-probably because it has turned to pretty much of a spoon bite.

Should have read slower! I have a couple of the glass shad raps (NOT HJs), too, but I haven't used mine either-sorry.

I've done well on Winnebago with the new clear or white and the blue. These do catch fish and fisherman too.The shad rap line is one of the better lines as far as I'm concerned.

I've done very well on the #4 & #5 glass shads in perch and ghost(white). The #4 are very tough to tune though. But once you get them tuned they seem to stay that way. They do run significantly deeper than the regular shad raps though.

I haven't used them as much as I would have liked, but so far I have had less luck with them than the regular Shad Raps. To me, they don't look like they have as good an action.

I've caught enough fish on them as of this weekend to have confidence in them and will continue to use them. Another lure I'm quickly building confidence in is the Grappler Shad. I'm doing pretty well with those.
The original Shad Rap is still the bench mark for me. I like jointed second.

The blue #5 has put many fish in my boat on 'bago this year. Great looking bait!

Don't buy them, they NEVER work, especially on Bago.lol
They are one of the best baits to use on Bago. I know the blue works well but I love the perch color, that one puts them in the boat for me on Bago.

MrTerry loves the glass perch the best too. He also likes the white pearl. I still smoke him on the blues every time! ;-)

We we're out on Mille Lacs trolling crankbaits for about 7 hours and only caught one fish. It was a really nice 26 inch fish though and we caught it on a Perch Glass Shad Rap. I don't think it will make the fish jump in the boat, but so far they seem to be a pretty good bait. Things we're just really slow for everybody that we could see on Mille Lacs that day. We also couldn't really change speeds because the kicker decided to not run so we had to troll with the main motor.

I will say I've also had pretty good luck with the new Rubber Storm bait. I forget what it's called exactly. it only has the front treble hook but I've had the best results so far with this bait this year so far in Perch.

I like them, we have had good success on them! I think they give off some nice flash that will attract fish just as well as the rattles.
