Are there any good lodges, resorts in the Malmo area?

they give you a full detailed areawide scoop on lodging. that end of the lake is less resort dense than others. the red door, on the northend(west of malmo), has nice motel units. 218-678-3686. also, cabins at fisher's south of malmo 320-684-2221.

I will second Steve's recommendation for the Red Door. Very nice motel rooms and cabins, very affordable, and extremely nice folks. By far my favorite place to stay on the lake.

I also agree that Red Door is a good place. Clean. Nice folks. Good place to eat in the area is Carlsona Beach.
