After a short, futile attempt at Erie's eastern basin last weekend, we're going to give it a better shot next week from Wed. thru Sun. Just curious if any other WCers will be in the area out there. We'll probably be fishing out of Barcelona, NY..or possibly Dunkirk. It would sure be nice to have someone to converse with besides my fishing partner "Bobber"! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Sluggo, Three of us plan on fishing out of Dunkirk Fri-Sun 7/23-25. My buddy's boat name is Nailgunner. We originally planned to fish this weekend, but the bad forecast for Fri & Sunday changed our plans. Give us a shout on 68 or 69. I heard the fishing has been poor for the last week or so. Maybe King Oden will bless us with good weather & many Walleyes.

Chris...I just got an email from Looney Tunes, sounds like quite a few teams struggled at the Amara tinCan torney. The total winning weight was also down from past years. I left the boat off up there tonight after Chautauqua and they had just got blasted with anoother good storm including hail. I may be able to come up with the Barcelona Harborts ph#, Jock will give you a straight answer as to what the bite is there.

Fishing out of Dunkirk has been real tough of late. The only real good day was the first day of the ameracan. We boated a lot of 'eyes
that saturday, but went 1/1 on Sunday to fade. Boats that I know were out Saturday struggled. Best bait was little yo-zuri's off leadcore, but I hear more have been coming on harnesses of late. Looks like some wind this week.....

the bite in our neck of the woods has been right at the mouth of the niagara river drifting harnesses and trolling between seneca shoal and meyers reef

Sluggo, I hope you were able to fish Erie this week. We believed the offshore marine reoprt & bailed for the second week in a row. We plan on trying again on the 30th. Hope you kicked a--. Looking forward to your report.
