Has anyone seen or used the linecounter reels by Pinnacle? They are selling for $40 at Gander Mountain. Four bearings, line out clicker, and the drag felt decent, as best as I could tell in the store. Comparable to the AccuDepth or the lower end Okuma? A step up from the Shakespears I'm sure.

That sounds like something I would like to look into. I have a baitcaster by that brand and like it very much. What GM store has those reels for that price if you don't mind my asking? Thanks.

I'm from Michigan so I guess that I'll just keep my eyes peeled around here to see if the local GM will be selling them. Thanks for the response, much appreciated.

I would like to know more about them I would just use them for in line boards and flatlining, My Diawa LC's are the only reel for dipsey's. I have the accudepths and they suit my needs but always open to another alternative. I did a search and got a little info they seem pretty good stainless steel ball bearings and such

I bought 4 of the reels from Gander here in Toledo when they first came out this spring.Only lasted 2 trips and all 4 were back at Gander.2 of them the counters would get stuck and the other 2 had major drag problems.Good thing about Gander is that they took them back no questions asked.

I just bought one two weeks ago. I found it on the "discount" table at GanderMoutain, Grandville, MI. I bought the only one that was on the table.

I have used it two times and both times I have been impressed- the line-out process is very smooth, the line counter has been accurate to the extent that it has worked like it supposed to every time, the drag has proven to be excellent althought I haven 't hooked a king salmon or a steelhead on it yet, it's comparatively light, and it fits the hands very well.

So far, I have been pleased and I consider it superior to the same size accudepth reels.

Summary: At $40 I find it to be a very good deal.

Jack.

listen to k gone if you dont believe me ...daiwa... oh ya by the way I used work at bps in gurnee pinnacle .ptuy, pinnacle's burn the drag and lock up, handled returns to fshng dpt for 3 years .IF YOU FISH FREQUENTLY YOU'LL BE DIS-SATIFIED, everything breaks .save receipts. then again maybe most people are b*******s and jam the drag and still expect to get longevity out of equipment...the cheap and stupid pay twice, usually at a higher price. shimano aint so hot either. stradic has the quality. and the ones eyez like are the original series

I had that reel in my hands and checked it out thoroughly. You must've come in shortly after me because when I went back by there later it was gone! LOL. I thought it was a pretty interesting reel at that price. I was kinda second guessing myself for putting it back down. Hope it gives you good service. I really didn't need another reel but at that price I was going to use it for segmented leadcore set-ups.
