Due to a long delay on my part (sorry about that), Scott has just posted more pictures of the 2004 Western Get Together at Glendo:

Remember how hot it was that day!?!?
Someone tell this guy to trim down his motor so we don't get wet:

Anyway, I can send full 5MP images to anyone who wants one. Just drop me an email...

Looks like you guys had a good time! I can't believe I missed it!
Does anyone have any theorys on why the fishing has been so slow the last two Get-Togethers?
Mike, We should get together and go ice fishing this winter?

Neal: I'll be ready for ice fishing and Mexico: the Elephant Butte trip sounds fun as well. I've got two business trips planned in December and January, so everything depends on the dates!
BTW, I'll be down in the caribbean for those trips, so I wonder if there are any walleyes down there - HA!

Thanks Mike. I really needed the picture of the "giant" perch. No one would believe me otherwise. New Mexico in January might just be intriguing. Mexico, are the stripers active then?
The last two weeks have been generous to me. I caught a 40", 17# tiger muskie and a 23", 4# walleye in the lake out my back door plus a bunch of 2-4# largemouth. Sweet. All were on ultralight spinning gear with 6# line with some bass on fly rod and poppers. Maybe we should have the next get-together on my lake (just kidding- it's only 40 acres). We do need to think about someplace besides Glendo after the past two years' lousy fishing.

Steve,
Check out the archived reports on my site, the fihsing in January is just awesome and with the new technique we are using, should be even better.

I could live with one of those! Nice fish. I fly fished for stripers off Cape Cod. Hooked up on a big one but he broke me off so I've never landed one.
