Ticked off about post!!!!!

You're posts are still here, I just checked and one of them is on page 4 and the other is on page 6. Lots of activity on the board lately and the posts are getting bumped off the front page quickly.

You're not alone on this looking for posts stuff. I have chased some back to page 5 in just over one day. We're really running through the responses on some topics. Just todays additions filled up to the third page. Makes up for this Fall when nobody was around because of hunting and some complained about no new topics for discussion. Spring will soon be here and it will slow down to a more Normal pace.

I emailed winnebagowalleye.com at their reply was that they are changing servers. I hope they get back up soon. I still think this site is the best walleye site around, but winnebagowalleye has good local info.

Has everone noticed the alfabetical (sp) order the post are in . I just realized it the other day. Post starting with W are on page 8. always look at all the pages.

Howdy Eyeswon.

You can change that. Look near the top of the page when you come to the General Discussion board. The red (dark red) stripe by the plus or minus sign.

If you have the plus sign showing, you have the "Collapsed threads" option selected. Click the plus sign to open upthe threads.

If you have/once you have the minus sign displayed, the threads will be displayed in the "Fully threaded mode"

You will see how the look of the page has changed, all the threads will be displayed open as to see each response header.

You will also see, right next to the plus sign a listing that says,
"Sort Topics by..... Topic ID | Discussion Topic | Author | Last Updated Date/Time"

To get off alphabetical and on to recent post first, click the "Last Updated Date/Time" option.

Now every post will go to the top in the order they are posted, or responded to. You can also sort them by author, topic ID# etc.
This system allows each user to set the message boards the way they like, for easy viewing.

This post made me think about how much this site has changed. When I became a regular here about four years ago, posts took a day or more to get to the bottom of the page. During the peak fishing season there might only be 3-5 new posts a day. Now if I check in twice a day there are already posts from that day on page 3 and 4. I wonder how many new posts per hour there are here these days. Sure has grown.

I'll bet I'm not the only one. When you click the + to - then I see the View All that Juls was talking about a few days ago. I just keep learning. Thanks for the tips.
