Is it fair to conclude, from the many posts on the subject, that the Vertical Pixels per Linear Inch count is more signicant as it applies to depth/fish finder units than to pure mapping/charting units?

ON THE CONTRARY. RESOLUTION IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT TO A CHARTPLOTTER AS WELL AS RADAR,AND SONAR. DICK KNUTSON GENETRON
